Which standard is the target?
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. Each time the site is rebuilt it is run through an automated accessibility checker, and the menu and the callback form are tried by keyboard and with a screen reader before the rebuild is published.
What is built into every page?
A single heading outline. A skip link to the main content as the first thing a keyboard reaches. Landmark regions for the header, the navigation, the main content and the footer. A menu and a form that work with a keyboard alone and show a clear focus outline. Text and background colors at or above the AA contrast ratio. Text that can be enlarged to twice its size without being cut off. A written description on every photograph. A label on every form field and no time limit on finishing the form. Animation reduced when a device asks for less motion.
What has not been checked?
No outside accessibility consultant has audited the site. Testing has used current versions of common browsers and screen readers, and older combinations may behave differently. Any embedded map is a third-party component whose accessibility belongs to its provider.
Can I do everything by phone instead?
Yes. Everything this site offers, booking a technician, asking a question, raising a complaint, can be done by calling (806) 630-0528 at any hour. Quotes can be sent by email as plain text for a screen reader on request.
How do I report a barrier?
Email hello@lubbockgaragedoortech.com or call (806) 630-0528 and say which page and what went wrong. You will have a reply within two business days and the fix goes into the next rebuild.
