Paying for a garage door in a town that watches the money

Most garage door work in Lubbock is a repair paid on the driveway. A new door is the one purchase that sometimes needs a plan. Here is how people pay, what financing we can connect you with, what insurance does and does not do, and how rental invoicing works.

Repairs: paid on completion

Springs, cables, rollers, sensors, openers, seals and tune-ups are paid when the work is done, by card, check or bank transfer, at the price the technician quoted on the driveway before starting. The service call is folded into that price. There is no deposit on a repair and no separate after-hours rate.

New doors: a deposit, then the balance

A new door is ordered to your size and color, so a deposit stated on the written quote is taken when you approve it and the balance is due when the door is installed, balanced and tested. The quote is good for 30 days and nothing is owed until you say yes.

Financing

For a new door, a door-and-opener package or a large commercial job, we can connect you with third-party home-improvement financing with fixed monthly payments. Approval, rates and terms are the lender's, not ours, and your own bank or credit union is a perfectly good alternative. Ask when the quote is written and the details come with it.

Insurance

Homeowners insurance does not pay for a spring that reached its cycle count, rollers packed with dust or an opener that aged out. It often does pay for hail damage under wind and hail coverage, less the deductible, which in Texas is commonly a percentage of the home's value, so a small claim may not clear it. A vehicle into the door is usually the auto policy's property-damage coverage. We photograph damage with dates and write the quote in a form an adjuster can use, and we do not promise what any insurer will pay; your agent is the person to ask.

Landlords and property managers

Rental work is invoiced to the owner or the management company, one invoice per job with the property address, or a monthly statement for a portfolio. Approval comes by text with photos before any work and after photos follow. Fall tune-up rounds are quoted per door for the whole portfolio.

Commercial and farm accounts

Businesses and farms are invoiced on completion or on terms agreed in writing, with the dispatch fee, parts and labor shown separately and a maintenance schedule offered by cycle count or by season.

Stuck door, snapped spring, or a sensor the dust finally beat?

A technician reaches most Lubbock addresses the same day, carries the common springs and rollers, and quotes the job on the driveway before any work. Landlords and property managers can approve by text.
