What we learn and why

When you fill in the callback form, you give us a name, a phone number, a ZIP code, a short description of what the door is doing and, if you choose, a few more words in the details box. That is all the form asks for. There is also a hidden field on it that only an automated program would fill in; a person never sees it, and a submission that fills it is thrown away before it reaches anyone.

When you call (806) 630-0528, an automated assistant answers at any hour, notes the number you called from, your name, the address of the garage and what the door is doing, and passes those notes to the technician who calls you back. You hear a short notice at the start of the call that it may be recorded so that the details are not lost; tell the assistant you would rather it was not, and it is not.

Visits to this site are counted by a cookieless analytics service that reports how many people looked at which pages. It builds no profile of anyone, sets no advertising cookie and cannot tie a page view to your name or number. There is no tag manager and no social media pixel here.

The reason we hold any of this is to call you back, send the right technician with the right parts, give a landlord or property manager the quote by text when the garage belongs to a rental, write the invoice and keep a record of what was done to the door so that the next visit starts with the answer. Your details go to the insured technician assigned to the job and, for a rental, to the owner or manager you name. They do not go to anyone else and they are never sold or swapped.

How long we keep it and what you can ask

Records of work done on a door, the parts fitted and the warranty on them are kept for as long as that warranty runs and for the tax records that follow, because a future owner or tenant may need them. Details from an inquiry that never became a job are deleted after twelve months, sooner if you ask. Call recordings are kept only long enough to confirm the booking and are then removed.

This site is for adults arranging work on a garage; nothing is knowingly collected from anyone under eighteen, and if a parent tells us a minor has sent the form, the details are removed.
